As mentioned in IVLV Newsletter this week, Caesars Entertainment Corp. began charging Nevada residents also for self-parking at seven of their Las Vegas Casinos. This follows the MGM Grand parking fees for all self parking already in place. This week Reader Poll asks will this change the places you gamble and overall what is your opinion of charging for self parking at these mega casino operations? What is your opinion? We want to hear from you. (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

Las Vegas will now have another mega casino giant charging for self parking, Caesars Entertainment.

It appears we are stuck with the freed of the big casinos trying to get every dollar they can. I think it is a shame. Bonnie D. Las Vegas, NV

With all the millions they make per month, do they really need to charge for parking for people who are walking into their building. Yes the parking structure costs money but some of my lost money coul dpay for the building and not charge me again. Ronald R. Orange CA

its SAD. dsss poerr bush,ky

Yes. I'll park somewhere else. Michael Read Oklahoma City

There is a limit I can be taken advantage of and this is it. I can find several other places to spend my money. Eric L. San Diego, CA

I have already changed my habits for gaming. I always rent a car, I like both downtown and the strip. But last trip I stayed at Rio (free parking) and went to downtown, or Gold Coast, Green Valley, Red Rock casinos, etc. I could not work out a compatible schedule to park at one casino for 24 hours and visit multiple strip casinos. I really do not like to have to plan to gamble, I'd rather go where I feel like going. Strip casinos will not be hurt by my loss, unless others follow suit. John M DesPlaines, IL

I am a visitor to las vegas and used to often stay at Caesars / I no longer stay there and refuse to gamble there due to this. = bob lugossy granby quebec canada

Being a week-a-year tourist on vacation in Las Vegas I am not really bothered by self-parking fees at mega casino operations. As long as the process gives back to the customers of that resort in some way. One thing it might accomplish is that in Las Vegas you might get a lot of people who are just storing their cars in free garages - taking away spaces from real resort customers. charging fees might limit free loaders in the garages. Lawrence Strehl Tampa FL

Yes, I will go to the Casinos that have free parking. Anthony Russo Syracuse,New York

It is hard to believe that the wealthy owners of the strip casinos are so tacky greedy to collect parking fees to the public to visit their properties. I will avoid the strip properties that charge for parking and visit all others that are friendly to the public. ken arasim henderson, nv

Can they be any less user friendly. They want your money and won't let you park free. At least hotel guests should park free. They are paying a very high 'resort fee'. There are other places in Vegas to lose your money. Charmayne Westchester IL

Truley a mistake and time will prove it. Professional business persons like the owner of Venetian and Palazzo are very smart in not charging and i am sure their business is up. Tom D. Chicago IL

Having to pay for parking is disappointing and just a way to gouge customers who are otherwise spending a good amount for food, drinks, entertainment or gambling. It is especially difficult for people with mobility issues and who cannot easily ride buses. Rich K Mount Pleasant
