As mentioned in the IVLV email newsletter this week, Sheldon Adelson, owner of the Las Vegas Venetian and Palazzo Casino, rated as the 10th richest person in the world, is against Internet gambling and vowed to oppose online gambling and spend whatever it takes to defeat it. This week’s Reader Poll question asks, do you think Internet gambling is good and will it become an asset or hurt casinos? What is your opinion? We want to hear from you.. Online gambling is here to stay and even though mr. adelson has almost all the money in the world, he cannot stop a mass movement. Della S.

Gambling is ok as long as it is government sanctioned, That means that not just anytong can get a casino license. Marc H. San Antonio, TX

Internet gambling is bad and should be banned. There is no way to effectively protect the user and/or insure gambling laws are obeyed. C. Cummings Columbia, SC

I think all forms of non regular casino gambling has to many areas to go wrong and the wrong people would benefit. Regulate the casinos, tax them and not let them take over the Internet. Jill Franklin
