Question:

As stated in this week IVLV newsletter, the Transportation Plan released this week had a proposal to tunnel under the Las Vegas Strip to create a tunnel for light rail transportation. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question do you think this is a good or bad idea? What is your opinion? We want to hear from you. (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

las vegas Nevada might have a tunnel built under the famous Las vegas strip.

Reader Poll Replies:

Even though this sounds a little crazy, why not. We dont have any more land to use for streets, then dig. Robert L. Las Vegas, NV

I am all in favor of this project. It cannot get here fast enough for me. A tunnel is the most logical idea on moving people. Cindy S. Chino, CA

Why not. If they built other tunnels around the world much deeper, wider, longer and under vast sums of water, then the Las Vegas Strip should not be a huge problem. Amy Becker, CA
