Elvis Presley played a huge role in making Las Vegas the entertainment capital of the world, as mentioned in the IVLV Newsletter. The U.S. Postal Service has created a new U.S. Commemorative postage stamp and will be selling an Elvis Forever CD for $9.99. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question do you think paying tribute to people who decades ago helped shape the entertainment landscape of Las Vegas or should we be paying tribute to current entertainers and their efforts? What is your opinion? We want to hear from you. (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

I think we should honor both old and new entertainers. Dale Johnson, Illinois

It seems like a good things to keep older entertainment stars in the public eye with this type of stamp. Hopefully it will bring back the good old days of Las Vegas. Sarah G. San Diego, CA

I dont care their age, I only respect quality entertainers not age. Ralph R

Since Elvis was such a big part of las vegas, i think a stamp or really a second stamp is a good idea. Linda J. Las Vegas, NV
