Question in black type - Answer from our Readers in blue type

#1.  Las Vegas Show Tickets...
Insider Viewpoint of Las Vegas has been approached by companies to sell to our readers Las Vegas showroom tickets.  This service would allow you to purchase tickets up 12 months in the future for most shows.  This service carries a $5 to $19 service charge per ticket.

Our Reader Poll Questions are. . .

A.)   Would you like this service made available?

B.)    Is $5 - $19 per ticket a fair surcharge for this service?

C.)    How many Las Vegas show tickets do you normally buy in a year?

*  A) Yes.
B) Yes.
C) Two.   Gus Rico

*  1. Yes
2. $5 is acceptable, $19 is unacceptable.
3. Normally approx 12.             Alan Hodgson

*  A. Yes, I would like this service.
B. I think the service charge is much too high should be no more than $5.
C. I usually purchase tickets for Las Vegas shows 3-5 times a year      Kathy

Would love this service, and do not think $5 to $9 to much as a service fee. Normally visit Vegas 3 to 4 times a year and try to see a show each time we are there. Which would total out to be 12 at the least for tickets during the year.    Donna L. Rader

A) Yes
B) Yes
C)- This will be our first trip to Las Vegas when we vacation in July.     Cathy Phillips

Yes, I would like this type of service. I think $5 - $19 is reasonable considering the prices of some of the show tickets. Currently, we may see only 1 show per trip to Las Vegas because we can't get the tickets sooner that 7 days in advance.      Jackie Haile

*  Might be convenient for some ... don't let the surcharge be high.... $5 to $10 per transaction (not per person) would be a fair price... I usually buy 4-6 tickets a year...  PatBoytos

*  A.)  yes.
B.) Depends on whether the tickets are discounted enough. If not, no. If so, yes.
C.) None, but will buy two this year.    EEPerdue

*  Yes I would like to have this service although 5 - 10 dollars is more reasonable for a service charge unless this would also include mailing them.  When we go to Vegas once a year we see a show every night. This year we are seeing 5 shows    MSobjak

*  1. Yes
2. Seems OK
3. Have yet to visit Las Vegas, but plan to do so next week.   Gail Brownlow

*  I appreciate you starting this service.  It would be ideal to know that a company like yours would be sending my tickets.  I would have no worry about dealing with your company.  The service charge seems very reasonable, when I buy tickets for other events around the United States there is always service charge of at least this amount.   Dr. Epstein

A. yes
B. No should be taken off original ticket price.
C. 3-4
Cam Pearson

*  Seems expensive to me - probably would not use the service. Yvonne Skipton

*  a) Yes, I would like this service made available.
b) Depends on what show it is.... I would pay a $19 service charge for certain tickets that are always hard to get.
c) We generally SEE 10+ shows a year -- but we actually buy only about 5.  TuckMN

*  a. No, I wouldn't care for this service.
b. No, the surcharge is extreme.
c. Varies--1-3 per Las Vegas trip       sharon567

A.) No. When I can call ahead to almost all of the showrooms, using an 800 number, to purchase tickets via credit card. Then I just have to pick them up at the box-office on the day of the show. Calling on the telephone also lets me choose which seats I want where this service is available.
B.) No. What are they providing for that service? If they allow you to get better seats. Or, if they can get you tickets ahead of when they are available to the general public.
C.) My wife and I normally visit Las Vegas 2 or 3 times a year, for 4 nights per visit. We try to see a show every night -- comedy shop to review to headliner.     Richard Pinter

A: No.
B: No.
C: 8-12        berdan
