Question:

The 2012 United States elections will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. This will be the 57th quadrennial presidential election, coinciding with Senate elections where 33 races will occur, as well as House of Representatives elections to elect the members for the 113th Congress. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question, who do you think will win the presidential election and why?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you!   (See other readers’ opinions below.)

Reader Poll Replies:

I hope we get a new president to get us out of the recession and I can go back to work.  Glen S.  Dallas TX

Makes no difference to me.  I think both men are going to talk out of the side of their mouth once elected. Statements to get elected versus what they do in office is miles apart.  Linda St Louis

Maybe if we are lucky neither will win.  Ramon Thomas

I think Romney should win, I am tired of seeing bankrupt properties and people out of work.  Susan Black  NYC

Most elections seem to be a mystery how the winner is determined, i just hope this electorial college does not mess it up.  Having a popular winner is really the best.  Which person wins is secondary as long as the person with the most votes does not necessarily win.  Robert Johns FL

Since I live in ohio, i think we actually become important tothe candidates and hopefully they dont forget us when one of them wins.  My choice would be to not have Obama for another 4 years.  Darrel Jacobs  Cincinnati Ohio

As long as we have politicians that pay millions of billions of dollars to secure a job that pays a few hundred thousand the mass public should be aware they are about to be screwed.  Let the new guy try it for a while, what we have had for four years has been really bad.  Steven L. Austin TX
