As reported in our IVLV newsletter, the Las Vegas Hilton may have to consider a new name for their casino if they cannot come to an agreement with the Hilton corporation prior to January 1, 2012. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question, what would you name the historical casino if it has to change names in January 2012?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you! ( See other readers opinions below.)

I believe you should call it the white dinosaur.  It needs to be really moderized.  Ralph S.

Since the monorail, a worthless item, ends at the Las Vegas Hilton i think its new name should be "end of the road" to be named right.  cindy Halprin.

I could not come up with a good name...but it seems that it should somehow be linked to the convention center(if only by name). Being that it's separate from the main strip, they will never get the volume of people that frequent that ,it would be natural to link it with the convention center. Personally, I never stay at any major "chain" hotels when in Vegas (Hilton, Marriot, etc.) so I will be happy to see that name go away, and hopefully it will become a typical hotel/casino.  david gonnella  portland,OR

I think they should pay whatever to keep the same name, anything else would be a mistake in my opinion. George T  Miami FL

I like the old Hilton name, let is stay the same.  Gina Foster

The Las Vegas International Hotel & Casino.  Peter John Liapis  Goodyear, AZ

I think change the name and the quality of the building at the same time.  Linda Jeffreys
