Reader Poll Replies:

I would prefer it not be legalize but if people really need if for medical use then that would be ok.  I feel there are to many people taking advantage of this "medical" situation to contribute to their lifestyle.   Karen J.  Topeka KS

Since i dont have a need for it, it really does not matter to me,. however I dont think those on medical marijuana should have jobs that allow them to function stoned.  Robert Sawyer NY

Legalize it, tax it and pay off the deficit with it! Short of that. . .decriminalize it. It costs taxpayers a fortune to process and house someone in jail for a little bag of marijuana.  W. Wessing  Springfield, IL

Let's talk about marijuana & alcohol, marijuana is safer than alcohol by far. There is no comparison, If it was up to me, alcohol would be illeagl & marijuana would be legal. Alcohol has ruined many, many lives compared to alcohol. The country should raise the legal age of alcohol to 25yrs of age and legalize marijuana to reap the benefits of the tax
created!  James Healy   North Las Vegas, NV

yes definatly if it was not abused by younger generation when you get older the pain especially nerve pain and joint pain is gently relieved with medicinal cannibus and doctors no this but are helpless to do anythnig   kay   las vegas

The fact that people have been jailed and in many states still jailed for possession of marijuana is a concern. The medial benefits are clear and those folks who need it should not have to break the law.  Judi Ketchum   Willoughby/Ohio

I personally dont care, this country is going to heck anyway and one more illegal item turned legal is not going to save it or destroy it.   Linda S.  Jacksonville FL

At this time I would prefer it not be legalized.  John K.

No, please dont legalize it, we have enough crazies on thestreet already.   Barbara Salsberg.  LVNV
