Question:

Finally, the controversial NFL lockout is over and Las Vegas will quickly try to get people interested in Football sports betting immediately. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question . . . do you think this upcoming rushed football season will retain the fans and sports bettors as it has in years past?   What is your opinion?  We want to hear from you! (See other readers opinions below.)

Reader Poll Replies:

I think the possible loss of NFL games this year would have damaged Las Vegas economically one more time. Vaughn San Antonio TX

It does not matter to me, I dont like football anyway.  Give me gambling without all those over paid cry babies and i would be happy.  Donna R   Las Vegas, NV

For me football is a great sport and i enjoy watching it and maybe place a few small bets once in a while.  It is not a way of life to me so i am not a fnantic and must see every game.  i feel it would be good to continue having bettors be enthusiastic about this upcoming season.   Wayne G.  Philadelphia PA

Does not matter to me, I dont gamble and dont care about football.  Ann L   Reno NV

My friends and I live for Football season.  Each weeks it gives us a reason to get togherth and I hope this year will be good, even though it has gotten off to a bad start.  Vince  Denver CO

Absolutely! Because no games have been missed and all this has happened during the off-season. Now there's just much less time to get everything done and that will make it more exciting as teams make more major decisions quickly. Once the regular season starts it will be business as usual.  Sandy Hackett  Las Vegas, NV

I dont think that it will effect anyone since the lockout was during the off season. If anything betting might be higher due the idea that teams might not be ready in the beginning part of the season. Alex Nocon   orange ca
