Rumors have started about a new investor group is looking at building a new casino / resort facility in Las Vegas. The outstanding feature of this proposed development would be a 25,000+ person outdoor festival area. This week’s Reader Poll question asks . . . do you think Las Vegas needs another casino in this economic environment even with an outdoor 25,000+ person festival area?   Why or Why not?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you!   (see other opinions below)

Reader Poll Replies:

I hope someone builds another casino, it would show how las vegas is growing.  Daniel  Las Vegas NV

In this economy I would not open a new casino, but what the heck, it is not my money, bring on the new casinos.  Roger Smith

Las Vegas always needs a new casino with new twists for the public. Without this, Las Vegas over time would just be another place to visit. The excitement of Vegas is the new, the established, and the old always been there. Can't remember a visit to Vegas in the last 45 years when there hasn't been something new and interesting to visit. One of the
major reasons the wife and I have been visiting Las Vegas since 1965. We are looking forward to the opening of the downtown museum soon. donald marburger  rockwall, texas

Yep, bring on another casino that i can leave my money with.  Ben C

I think if they want to build a new one in these trying times it could be a disaster. They should wait a few years or they can help bail out other casinos that are going under.  Diane Winooski   Vermont

No, no need to build another one, citycenter and some of the others are not doing that well so putting more rooms on the marketplace is not going to help.  Terrance  Chicago IL

I like new things, hope they build a big one.   Jason  Tampa FL

I would rather see them build more shops that are not priced at twice retail so my shopping dollars would go farther in vegas.  Cindy Smith
