Question:

This week’s Reader Poll asks you about the quality and taste of the local water for Las Vegas. Southern Nevada's water supply meets or exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards. However, how does it taste to you?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you!    ( See other readers opinions below.)

Reader Poll Replies:

The water tastes much better in vegas than it does here in LA.  Robert S.  CA

I am surprised the quality and good taste of the water in Las Vegas.  I would have thought in this desert it would have been more of an alkaline taste.  Jennifer   Boulder, NV

The water is terrible and that reflects on the food. So it does not matter how good the food is. It will always lack due to the water. That is another reason why we have not been back to vegas in over a year now.  emery  foresthill ca

I thought we had good water from the tap here in Indiana, until my first trip to vegas for new years and it was much better than what i am accustome to drinking.  David Marsh IN

I like it, it's much better than anywhere else!   Micheline   Brussels Belgium

Compared to NYC, it is like drinking bottled water. It is great.   Donna L.  NYC, NY

Every time I visit, no matter what time of the year or what hotel I stay at, the water has a strange taste and strange odor. I don't drink it, only use for brushing teeth and spit out quickly.  Suzanne Matlosz  Mesa, AZ

Flush it on Monday. Drink it on Wednesday. Its that bad.   Jared  Santaquin Utah

Las Vegas may have a drinking water problem but it is no different than any other city in the U.S. People, if they realize it or not, judge drinking water by this question .........Does the water taste like the water back home? And the answer is usually NO! The bottom line
.....Las Vegas Water is just fine. Does it taste like Omaha Water? Probably NOT. Some visitors come to Las Vegas and are amazed at the magical acts in town. Every time I come I am amazed there is any water at all.  Don Meredith  Omaha, NE
