As mentioned in this week Insider Viewpoint of Las Vegas newsletter the rates for parking at the MGM Grand Resort Casino will be increasing in price. This new cost for parking started nine months ago and already is getting a raise in fees. What is your opinion of fees to park at Las Vegas Casinos? What is your opinion? We want to hear from you. (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

Las vegas is going to have an increase in the parking casino rates.

I think the casinos will eventually price their parking out of sight, just like they do with rental car fees and hotel fees. Mandy L. Phx, AZ

As a business it makes sense to charge for as many things as possible, but as a consumer of more than 20 years of casino gambling, i see no reason why they need to charge for parking, especially self parking. W. Thomas San Francisco, CA

Stinks, they don't even wait for you to get inside before taking your money, Valet or Uber! Mike Buffalo, NY

Parking to play in their casinos? Gimme a break. We drive to these properties to play, eat, see shows, buy their products, and now they are charging for this privilege. I DON'T THINK SO. I will be spending my cash at the properties where they are not gouging for us to park there, or buy their products. George Perkins Tulsa

It's ridiculous to raise prices after one year. All the hotels make so much extra because of the crazy resort fees already. Scott Schneider Henderson

I'll bet the cab drivers are loving this idea Nicholas meyer Madison wi

There are those who are great at turning failing businesses into profitable enterprises and then there are those who cause businesses to fail....................................what happens to those great people Howard Indy, IN

It's disappointing to get charged these fees. Although paying for parking is not unusual in major metropolitan cities, that's more of result of limited real estate. In Las Vegas, the parking garages already exist so it's no wonder why the consumer feels taken advantage of by the (corporate) owners. Eventually people will get fed up with the fees and casino revenue will suffer...leading to an increase in parking and resort fees. A vicious cycle that is frustrating and disappointing. Rich K. Zion, IL

I think it is crazy for casinos to charge for self parking. Valet charges make sense, but self parking, no. I spend a lot of money in the casinos and wouldn't want to be paying to park, also. Another reason to fly into town instead of driving. Does that stop locals and other nearby states from coming to spend time there or limit the amount they spend inside? guessing yes. Cindy Greeley, CO

I was never a big fan of the strip casinos for gambling but we used to get there once a trip. When they started charging for parking we now skip the strip and do our gambling etc. downtown or in Henderson or other casinos who don't charge. Deborah J Lester Buckeye, AZ
