When entering Valley of
the Fire State Park it is like stepping back in time, millions of years of time.
Outrageous stone formations created by the wind and desert sands over millions of years is
a breathtaking vision experience. 
The park is popular with
birdwatchers, and the months of April and May produce remarkable wildflower blooms.
Camping, picnicking and photography are favorite pastimes of visitors. There are
more than twenty miles of challenging mountain biking trails.
In addition, ancient
Indian
petroglyphs (stone carvings) on the rocks and an array of desert wildlife highlight the
Park. If driving to Valley of Fire it is an easy route north on I-15 turn west on
route 169, you are there!
