the best in Vegas. Make it a point to get here every time we come to
town. I like Tuesday t-bone night. Breakfast is great too. Especially

Comments=Was a little skeptical...buffet was included in tour of Red
Rock Canyon. Turned out to be worth a trip. Has an International theme
similar to Rio's. Good variety of entrees, smaller crowds as it's away
from the Strip. It's a new hotel, so everything is clean and
fresh. Appeared to attract a lot of locals from the surrounding
neighborhoods.

Comments=We won a $250 Jackpot so we went in to celebrate. Our $250
didn't go far with 4 of us but it was one of the BEST meals I have ever
had. The help could not have been nicer. They didn't care if we spent
$250 or $5 they were as nice and as helpful and friendly as could be.
The steaks were absolutely delicious. I have had Ruth Chris's steaks and
thought they couldn't be beat but I think Austin's are even better.
Pretty pricey but GREAT for a special occasion.

Comments= Forget the hotels! Makino offers the best buffet when it comes
to food and service. You are promptly greeted at the door by a very
polite and friendly Japanese lady. There's salads which are fresh and
green with a light oriental dressing for the health conscious; fried
rice, chow mein, teriyaki chicken, assorted seafood, sukiyaki (one of my
favorites), and of course, a variety of eye-catching sushi for the
daring and the timid. Desserts range from naturally sweet fruit to
sensibly bite-size desserts. Believe me, it's hard to eat
everything that's offered; there's just too much good stuff! I usually
end up coming back the next day to try the things I missed because my
mouth wants to keeping saying "yes" while my stomach groans
"no"! The price is about the same as the buffets at
Bellagio and Paris. Drink refills are very quick as well as removal of
dirty plates. Extra utensils and napkins are always readily available.
Check this place out on Decatur at Flamingo in the Renaissance West
Plaza! I sincerely recommend it!

Comments=The saying that "looks can be deceiving" really
applies to this place. I believe they could increase their business
twofold if the location wasn't a dumpy looking plaza. This restaurant is
situated in between a bar and a run-down Laundromat, and the other shops
look like they're out of business. The only thing that attracted me to
this area was the bright red and yellow signpost advertising "Thai
BBQ", and the fact that I was starving. I decided to take a chance,
and was I in for a pleasant surprise. The inside of the restaurant
looked clean and the service was fast and very friendly. I had the
best fried rice and beef sate, and I ordered more to go. The sweet and
sour sauce was too sweet for my liking and the eggrolls had too much
meat, but that's just a minor complaint. However, one time I ordered a
"lard-na" noodle dish where I got a big container full of the
gravy sauce but very little of the noodles. I thought maybe the cook was
in a rush or something; Go for the fried rice lunch specials; they're
the best deals in town, and don't be intimidated by the locale because
overall, the food and service are worth it. The restaurant can be found
on Jones just a little past Flamingo.
