On Thursday May
8th, America's hungriest competitive eaters will gather at the New
York-New York Hotel and Casino, in front of the replica of the
Brooklyn Bridge, to decide the Nevada Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating
Champ for 2008. The winner will receive a spot at the table at the
Nathan's Famous Fourth of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest
in Coney Island, NY on July 4, 2008. The Las Vegas qualifier, which in 2006
witnessed the historic American breaking of the 50-dog barrier by
#1-ranked Joey Chestnut, appears poised to make history again.
Seventh-ranked Rich "The Locust" LeFevre of Henderson will be pitted
against his long-time rival, Ron "The Optic" Koch of Las Vegas. Also
competing will be the first sibling eating tandem in Major League
Eating history, Cameron and Andrew "Dirty" McKirdy of Eugene,
Oregon. Also competing will be Sarah Jane Woodall, a svelte model
with an oversized personality to match her appetite, whom many think
could be the next Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas.

Three legendary rock bands are teaming up for what is sure to be the
tour of the summer. JOURNEY, Heart and Cheap Trick are heading out on
the concert trail and will stop at the Mandalay Bay Events Center
Friday, July 18. The concert is scheduled to begin at 8p. Tickets are
priced at $123, $83 and $53, not including applicable service charges or
taxes. JOURNEY, featuring Neal Schon (guitar), Jonathan Cain
(keyboards), Ross Valory (bass), Deen Castronovo (drums) and new lead
singer Arnel Pineda, will be hitting the road to promote REVELATION, the
highly anticipated three-disc CD/DVD package set for release June 3
exclusively at Wal-Mart stores in North America. The band’s greatest
commercial success came in the late 1970s through the early 1980s with a
series of power ballads and songs such as “Don’t Stop Believing,” “Any
Way You Want It,” “Faithfully,” “Open Arms,” “Separate Ways,” and “Wheel
in the Sky.” Heart is a creative chemistry between two sisters,
Nancy and Ann Wilson. To date, the band has yielded sales of more than
30 million albums including more than 20 Top 40 hits. The band sells out
stadiums whenever and wherever they perform. Heart was one of the most
popular bands of the album rock era and in the ‘80s found even greater
success with monster MTV and radio hits such as “Alone” and “Never.”
Cheap Trick has been blending elements of pop, punk and metal since the
‘70s, in a way that is instantly catchy and recognizable. With timeless
classics such as “I Want You to Want Me,” “Surrender,” and the late ‘80s
favorite, “The Flame,” Cheap Trick is a musical institution. The band
has accumulated more than 5,000 performances, 20 million records sold,
29 movie soundtracks and 40 gold and platinum recording awards. |

Shadow Creek, one of the country’s most exclusive golf courses, will
close temporarily for course enhancements effective Monday, May 19. The
course, perennially ranked among Golf Digest’s top 10 courses in the
country, is scheduled to reopen in December 2008. The enhancement
project will be overseen by original course architect Tom Fazio. The
primary goal of the closure is to rebuild and reseed the tee boxes and
greens, upgrade the course’s irrigation system and build a world-class,
short-game area. The short-game facility, intended to reflect the
diverse and intriguing shot values evident throughout the course, will
feature multiple greens for guests to pitch and putt as well as practice
bunker shots. Located in the midst of the barren Nevada desert on the
outskirts of Las Vegas, Shadow Creek has achieved national recognition
and the kind of startling mystique reserved for only a select number of
golf courses. The course is known for its natural beauty, rolling
terrain, glistening brooks and ponds, lush gardens and mature trees. The
visual elements, spectacular waterfalls and course design lend to
astonishing views.

from his latest album, the Ultimate Santana (Arista) compilation. The
single is currently No. 7 on Billboard’s Hot Adult Top 40 chart and No.
40 on the overall pop Billboard Hot 100 chart. Slated to drop in
