Las Vegas, has a fifty-four percent married population. Even though Las Vegas has
been considered a city with high move in rate, half the population of Las Vegas have lived
here for more than 10 years. Las Vegas attracts many retirees to
the community. More than 10% of newcomers are retirees.
As of 2010, 583, 756 people resided in Las
Vegas which is made up of 211,689 households, 117,538 families. This is a
population density of 4,222.5 /sq mi (1,630.3 /km2). The population is
spread out with 25.9% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 32.0% from 25
to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 11.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The
median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 103.3 males. For
every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.5 males.
