Reader Poll Replies:

This was a terrible incident and law makers should take a much harsher stand on non hunting guns. Barbara K. Fort Worth, TX

I see no reason for guns that are semi automitic or modifications which make them work like an automatic weapon... obviously this is a not a rifle a person needs to sport hunting. Robert Las Vegas, MV.

Enough is enough.... what does it take for senators, preident and others to realize we are the best country in the world but we are embarrassing when it comes to how many gun problems we have daily. This mass shooting must be the turning point for people to get behind some type of real gun controls. Wayne Denver, CO

Ban all hand guns and asalt rifles... no one needs those for hunting game. Ron Tucson, AZ

All assault rifles should be banned. At a minimum any equipment that leads a weapon to be automatic should be banned. No one needs to have thousands of rounds of ammunition unless you own a shooting range. Walter J Kijek North Royalton

there is always an uproar about gun control and more restrictions after such an event but i say change nothing why should all of us be inconvenienced just because of one madman i go to vegas often leave everything the same just enforce the laws we have Jeffrey Prindle lancaster, ca

hese types of semi-automatic rifles, large quantity magazines and accessories that convert to fully automatic operation are devices that are only useful in operations of war. They should all be strictly outlawed in our entire country. Extreme penalties for violations of sales to civilians or usage in crimes must be imposed. ken arasim Henderson, NV
