Rumor has it some of the big casinos are thinking about charging for what was always free parking garages. What is your opinion of the casinos asking for a parking fee for their garage parking, not valet, regular parking garage? What is your opinion? We want to hear from you. (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

Las vegas free parking?

I dont think it would matter to me since i dont rent a car or drive a car in Las Vegas. My trip is airplane, taxi, casino and then reverse order to go home. I think the casinos spent millions building the garages, it surprises me they havent tried this before.
Cory Johnson, CA

My opinion is the casinos nickel and dime us already. Why not leave one thing free, God knows I have helped pay for those parking structures over the years. Betsy Cohen FL

It would be an absolute disgrace!!!! Bah Humbug.... Terri S. Boca Raton, FL

I usually valet park which is free with a tip to the attendant. I would hate to see the parking fee. Look at the airlines except for Southwest charge baggage fees. What would be the next fee, a fee to join the player's club, fee for drinks. Randy Foster Crosby, TX

If I have to pay for parking I will spend my money at a casino that does not charge. If I am staying at a casino that is also going to charge me a parking fee they will definitely lose my business. These casino's make enough profit and need to stop being so greedy. With all the outrageous resort fees they are charging and now parking fees people may start looking at other places to stay. Pamela Price, Utah

Sounds like a good way to reduce your customer base. It has worked very well in Atlantis City. I don't really see any advantage, it's just that much less I will have in my pocket to spend inside. But then again I'm not a casino executive getting paid mucho bucks to come up with these ideas. How about we get rid of a few of them and keep free parking? William Lockhart Waterford NY

NO to paid parking! Gary Thomas Lawrenceville, GA

No way..they are trying to get like the airlines. Nothing likekilling the golden goose. That's less money for everything and we won't even talk about rental car prices
Bill Zimmerman sandusky oh

they should let us have something free. Darrell Powell Bowling Green, KY

Why not just raise room rates and do away with parking fees and resort fees. These are just like hidden fees that people don't realize when looking at nightly rates. Soon hotels will charge for using all restrooms! Michael Heldt Chesterton IN

That's just wrong! With the amount of money the casinos take in daily, that is not fair. What's next - charging for drinks? Judy Einstoss Brooklyn, NY
