The busiest 3.7 miles of roadway in Nevada are located from the I-15 and I-95 freeway exchange stretching south. There is a plan to widen this section of freeway. However, the cost is huge and the time to complete is almost bizarre. Estimates to accomplish this program are at $1.5 billion and nearly 20 years to complete. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question, even though this is a huge bottleneck for Las Vegas, is it really worth the hassle or are there other ways to eliminate the traffic flow? What is your opinion? We want to hear from you. (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

Like many projects in Las Vegas, to liitle to late. This freeway should have been widened years ago and now to decrease lanes as they widen it and taking years is nothing more than a bad idea. Cheryl J, Las Vegas, NV

Why dont they make it a double decker like some of the freeways in California. That way you have eight lanes each way and it should be a long time before vegas can outgrow that expansion. James Vawter, CA

Sounds like a good idea, but the years it will take to complete is rediculous. Linda Shiel
