Reader Poll Replies:

I would not spend one dollar on any team tickets or souvenirs if they players disrespect the national anthem Barney K., Boulder City NV.

Count me out if those over paid players cannot respect a country where people give their life for the flag and the national anthem and this is nothing more than disrespect. Walt Smith, Chicago, IL

Something I wouldn't do, but hey, it's free speech and we can't tell people what to say. This ain't North Korea. Michael Oklahoma City

NO...Never have and never will! Susan Charlotte

Not only will i not support any team or players of a team who disrespect our country, I also would not hire any person who does the same. They have a right to protest, but they are doing it all wrong. Sam Miami, FL

That is not the team I thought we were getting here in vegas. More over priced people screaming their are not equal. What a joke they are for sitting. Robert S. Las Vegas, NV

am not a football fan but would be MUCH more likely to support the sport since these men exercised their first amendment rights. What the h*** does that song represent if not hard fought freedom? steve weinhouse simi valley, ca

I would not buy a game ticket or attend any game. Follow the rules! The specific rule pertaining to the national anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL League Rulebook. It says stand at attention, face the flag holding your helmet in your left hand. Apparently owners coaches and players do not follow their rules. Along with that there are penalties for not doing so. Nick Cignetti North Canton

No way. It is a disgrace for anyone not to stand for the national anthem at any event. Debbie Tewes orland park

No I would not stand or support for any professional player setting or kneeling during the national anthem. Tom Parker, AZ

No I would not. Monica Peterson Visalia

No! If these way overpaid atheletes do not respect our flag and country, they do not deserve my money or time! Nora Parker Calhoun, LA

Yes would buy tickets. Its a freedom we have in America whether they want to stand , sit or kneel. Judi Konze Holmen
