Question in black type - Answer from our Readers in blue type

#1.  In past years, Las Vegas New Years Eve celebrations were very exciting, do you plan to partake in the Las Vegas celebration this year? Why or Why Not?

*  Las Vegas is DEFINITELY a must for my husband and myself. We were out there for the Millennium and we go back as often as possible (considering that we live in cold Wisconsin). Plus the drive out their is beautiful. Its something in are blood that just makes us coming back. If your Crazy4Vegas like we are you totally understand what were saying. This year we are staying again for Christmas and New Years. We even talked are family into joining us (their first time) they are so excited. So it will be extra exciting seeing them get so excited seeing all that Vegas has to offer. I'm not kidding that people at work ask me all the time about where and what to do and see in Vegas if they only have a few days. Like for example seeing the Bellagio water show, Treasure Island buccaneer show, Mirage Volcano, and DEFINITELY the must see thing is the Fremont Street Experience if that's the only thing that you can make. Make it that one. Vegas is SO Exciting ALL the time that whenever you go you will ALWAYS have such a great time. I get excited just talking about it. And we are going to the Neil Diamond concert at the MGM Grand with should be a great show. See ya in the STREET  John & Paula Wisc.

*  After having such a great time last New Year in Las Vegas, my friends and I booked our return trip for the New Year back in May. It's a long way to go from the UK to Las Vegas but worth all the effort to get there. I am not at all worried by the current world events - we plan to have a fantastic time and a New Year to remember. Last year we watched the amazing fireworks display from the strip - it was truly awesome. This year we're going to see Neil Diamond in concert which we expect will also be truly awesome.  Since this last trip I've raved about Las Vegas to all my friends, so much so that another couple I know have also booked their trip to Las Vegas for the New Year. I can't wait!   Cheers,  Kim Holloway United Kindgom

*  We wouldn't miss the New Years Eve celebration in Las Vegas for anything. We flew over last year from the UK and will do so again. We look forward to our time in Las Vegas as one of sheer fun and a good excuse to let our hair down.  See you soon ! Tania, Paula, Kim and Mandy, England.

Yes, it is part of the excitement of living in Las Vegas !!  Anne Nagle

*  No, although I'd love to come to Vega for New Years. But being a Canadian the exchange rate is ridiculous and the hotel prices are just too high for us. I doubt that many Canadians will travel to the US on vacation for the next little while. Not really fair is it. Maybe the hotel's should give us a break as we're paying $1.64 on the US dollar.   Lynda  Loipersbeck

My wife & I will skip the New Year's celebrations. Our late year trips, if any, like this year, will be in early December to take advantage of the excellent rates and deals during this "quiet" time in Vegas. Besides, every day is New Year's Day in Vegas; the sights, the sounds, the shows, the people. L.V. entertains us to the fullest whenever we go......Jim in Penfield N.Y.

*  I haven't spent New Year's eve in Las Vegas since 1994 and do not plan on doing so this year. It used to be a ritual for my widely scattered family to assemble in Vegas and party at my mother's home in Vegas. But, since my mother passed on, the family celebrates the holiday in their own little corners of the world. Vegas is a blast anytime of the year. Parsonsburg, MD only lights up during the Christmas/New Years season. I am scheduled to check into the Palace Station in January when the lights have all gone out in Parsonsburg.    HBHWANGO

*  Nothing could keep us away from a New Years Eve celebration in Las Vegas.  I have been coming to Vegas for more than 20 years on New Years and see no reason to change my ways now.  It is a great time to be in Vegas.  Roger   CA.

*  Last year was the first time I spent New Years in Vega, wow what a thrill.  It was non stop fun from the moment I got off the plane.  Nothing could keep me away from returning this year.   Ann   Boston, MA

*  My wife loves going to Vegas for New Years, I have a little trouble with all the people.  However, I must admit the crowd is very well behaved and security is everywhere.  Las Vegas is probably the last city in the world where a million people can have a three mile long block party.  James & Cynthia  Chicago.
