* The government should not test
that close to Vegas. Dawn B.
* If testing underground nuclear
bombs can help in defense then I say yes. Mark CA
* Why Nuclear testing? To what end is
the testing to be done? Weapons of mass destruction should be
possessed by no one! Carol Denil
* No it is to
close to las vegas.to many people close by. G J Smith *
No! No! No! Nobody has ever given me any evidence there is any benefit
from nuclear testing -- and my biggest objection is when it is done near
to any areas with population of any size. Joanne Kammer *
Most DEFINETELY NO! We need world peace, not more
weapons of mass destruction. Accidents do happen. Do we need to destroy
ourselves? If U.S.A. does not set an example to the rest of the world, how can
we expect the other nations to stop building WMD. WMD can fall into the wrong
hands and be used against us. So lets stop building and testing arms. Lets build
a bridge to WORLD PEACE instead. Kal Gosal *
No, the government should save us all the money and anxiety and not continue
testing. After all, we know how to manufacture nuclear weapons, and we
know they work pretty good already. How many more smithereens must we blow to be
sure? John Frawley La Mesa, CA *
Definately NOT. Here we are in Iraq looking for weapons of mass
destructions. I was all for the war in the beginning. I have a
grandson who is in the 3rd Inf and spent 8 months over there and has to go
back. But now I don't think those people will ever want what we THINK is
best for them.. So back to the testing. NOOO We already know what we
have - leave it at that. What if other countries decided to come over here
looking for weapons of mass destruction? And on a lighter note ----
termites are eating our houses and we can't use certain chemicals because of the
enviroment anymore. Wonder which is the worse for our enviroment -
chemicals to kill bugs or nuclear testing. Carol S *
I don"t think the government should do nuclear testing that close to Vegas
, First of all Vegas is a highly populated area. Next with all the new homes ,
It won"t be long before , the test sight will be even closer to populated
area. Lenny Spero *
No, I am against them nuclear testing. #1 - If we are in the state of the world
asking people to get rid of nuclear weapons, then why would they need to be
"testing" nuclear weapons? #2 - And probably more important to
me... I have been thinking of moving to Vegas several times, but the one thing
that always enters my mind is just how safe is it really since the site is ONLY
65 miles away! Nuclear testing has got to be bad for people living too
close so it keeps people like me from moving there when I really would if I knew
that there were no harmful effects for sure! Chris

My answer would be no. Nuclear testing is no good anywhere it is
done. Boobies732 *
