Question in black type - Answer from our Readers in blue type

#1.  Being Connected.  Many casinos/hotels are making it easier to stay connected to the Internet and email.  When you travel to Las Vegas do you bring along a lap top computer or some form of web connection?   Why or Why not?

*  Yes, we bring a lab top computer so my husband can check in at work and do some e-mailing. Jerri

I make my living on computers and I live and die with the internet and email but when I go to Vegas I want to go to a place that is not like home. So no, I don't want to be connected when I am in Vegas.  David Tse, Ph.D.

God no!!-  I come to the "Vegas Playground" to escape all of that crap-I have a hard time with people with cell phones in your town!! "Hi, I am eating at a buffet right now" or better yet- "Hi-I'm losing on a slot machine right now" WHATEVER.... Renie Snohomish. WA

*  Yes, I have found that I cannot be without my email connections.  Not only do I receive personal emails in Las Vegas but I can also continue doing business and my clients have no idea I am really on vacation.  T Owens.

*  No.  I make a lot of 1 day trips to Vegas and so I leave all the computers at home and the office.  Michael

No! Perhaps if I were on a business trip to an important meeting or major convention in Vegas it might make sense to bring along a laptop, but my life is too short to be tied to anything 24 hours a day. Cell phones, laptops, the web--we all lived without them in the not too distant past and, as hard as it may seem to some, many successful people still survive without them today. I plan a vacation to enjoy myself. I prepare my home, my business, and my financial matters before I leave and enjoy myself without all the pressure and stress I took a vacation from. Harold from Maryland

*  Yes the lap top goes with me, and now that I am a new member of your Discount Program it pays to bring it along.  Thanks for the great years of information and the discounts.  N. Goldstein

*  If the hotel I am going to stay in does not have Internet connections available I select another hotel.  My computer has become my life line to the world.  Walt Burroughs

*  Being connected is very important to me and my business.  If is the only way I travel.  I have been bring my lap top to Vegas for about four years, never leave home without it.  George Ferris
