Reader Poll Starting February 5, 2003

#1.  On July 1, 2003, the original Maxim Casino will reopen as the nearly remodeled Westin Casuarina. This week’s Reader Poll question is . . . What Casino Grand Opening(s) have you attended and what was your overall opinion of a Casino Grand Opening event?

Reader Poll Replies:

* I have been in Vegas for 20 years and the best I ever attended was the Bellagio. They really did it right.  Ben LV, NV

*  Over the 40 trips my husband and I have gone to Vegas, we have gone to three openings. Green Valley Ranch, the new Aladdin and the Palms. Green Valley was ok, the Aladdin opened late and was a joke and Palms was a zoo. So for my money I probably will never attend another Grand Opening and visit the following month after it has been open for a while. MM Bill T. CA

*  What a great question, I have always wanted to go to one of those Grand Openings and see all the movie stars and the important people. Thanks for telling me about the upcoming event, can you tell me how I would be invited? Your faithful reader. Julie S. TX
