#1. When you arrive in Las Vegas, what
form of ground transportation to you use and why? (Personal Car,
taxi, bus, rental car, trolley, limousine, or?)
* We hire a taxi
for to and from the airport. To get from around on the strip, we use
either a taxi or trolley. Sherry Foley
* Taxi.
Andy Anderson
* My boyfriend and
I always rent a car when in Las Vegas, number one he can never sit still,
he always has to be on the move, number two, it gives you the freedom to
move about without waiting for a cab or walking from casino to casino, and
number three, i can't think of a place on this planet where you can get a
rental cheeper than in Las Vegas. B.B. from Queens
* Rental
Car, Alistair Louden
* When we arrive
in Las Vegas we take a Hotel bus to the Hotel. we like to walk and walk
the entire strip. We have stayed at the Maxim three times and have walked
as far as the Stratosphere and the Las Vegas Hilton. We stayed at Treasure
Island, but wouldn't stay again, because you couldn't get out of the place
once the Pirate shows started. Same with returning unless your coming from
the Mirage side. Last time we stayed at the Stardust so I could walk to
the Las Vegas Sporting House. Probably will stay at the Stardust again,
when we get finished taking cruises. We have taken the bus to downtown and
taken the shuttle buses to and from the Gold Coast and even snuck over to
the Rio from there. My wife has a couple of Aunts and Uncles there and
they have on occasion picked us up at our hotel and driven us to
dinner. LORDCARMEL
* Generally we
take a cab to the hotel. It depends on the length of the stay. When we
travel with the family to Vegas we rent a car. If we travel with a group,
we rent a car. Alex Alexander
* Very informative
website. Look forward to your newsletter and bonus offers. Traveling to US
for our honeymoon. Henry Pelka, Perth, Australia
* We
always use a rental car. It gives us the freedom to go and come when we
like. We like to travel outside the L.V. area such as MT Charleston, Red
Rock Canyon, or just drive to site seeing. We always travel with another
couple so the cost of a rental car is cut in half. That way we can rent a
mini van for more room and comfort. Roy Vanderveer
* TAXI ...because
i arrive at McCarran airport, get luggage, walk out the door and take a
cab to the casino/hotel, and I enjoy talking with the "friendly"
cabbie's, sometimes they have very GREAT TIPS. D.V.....OHIO
* Always by
personal car. Herbert G. & Alice L. Renner, Jr.
* We use the
airport shuttle vans. It's convenient, the cost is reasonable and we don't
need transportation during our stay because we book at a hotel on the
strip and walk everywhere. R.M. Dinuba, CA
* When we arrive
in Las Vegas we usually take a cab from the airport to our hotel. After a
day or 2 we rent a car for the rest of our stay. Cookie
* Rental car
because we do a lot of driving to Pahrump (where we are moving soon)
Gerald DesJardins
* Rental Car. . .
I have been in Las Vegas only one time and flew in and rented a car.
Bruce May
* Rental car
HBHWANGO
* We always use a
rental car. We like the freedom to come and go as we please, when we
please. Also, there is so much to do within an hour's drive of Las Vegas.
There is much more than gambling and shows. j24j50
* I ALWAYS
rent a car. Granview
* We
usually arrive with a package that includes bus transportation from the
airport to hotel and back. We always rent a car the second day to have
transportation at our fingertips. We found the especially true during our
last visit when we stayed at the Rio. It was a fantastic place to stay,
with great shuttle service, but still not near as convenient at having
your own car. We always try to stay off the strip as much as possible.
Carol Kimbling
* If I am with the
guys, we will get a taxi. There is no line to stand in, as there is for
the shuttle, and cab takes you directly to your hotel. Shuttle bus will
stop several times before you get to where you have to go. If I am with my
wife, I'll rent a car for site seeing purposes. She loves to go to Red
Rock Canyon. While in Las Vegas, the bus system is okay to get up and down
the strip or go downtown. Benny Low
* Rental
Car. We like the freedom to go wherever we want,
whenever we want. Also take a couple of side trips (Zion, Grand Canyon,
Primm, Valley of Fire, etc) Bill Fitzgerald
* Rental car,
while it is faster, easier and I will always have transportation when I
need it: Veronica Gamper
