The new water park for Las Vegas may become a reality this time, with a grand opening scheduled for May 2013. The first water park, Wet ‘n’ Wild was very popular in the beginning but over the years lost a lot of its luster. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question do you think Las Vegas is ready for another water park?   Why or why not?   What is your opinion? We want to hear from you!   (See other readers’ opinions below.)

I like the idea of a new attraction in Las Vegas.   I hope you can offer tickets on because i know they are going to want an arm and a leg for a retail ticket.  Bobby J.  Phoenix AZ

Not really something i would visit but i think it will be a good addition to the las vegas entertainement arena.  Julie Parks  TX

When are the businesses of Las Vegas going to learn that Vegas is not a kid-friendly town. So, I would expect that this incarnation of a water park will follow the same fate as the last. It will likely be very popular at first and then will slowly fade into oblivion.  Kip
Abelson  Salem, MA

Why place it so far away from the strip/casinos?  Looks like another vegas attempt that will cost someone or some bank a lot of money.  Gloria T  Seattle WA

When we visited Las Vegas, in years past, we always spent one day at Wet n Wild. My daughter was young at the time and she really looked forward to that. I really loved the "Willie Willie" ride. Hope they don't have really ,really loud music blaring, like all of the hotel pools do now!  Rose Marie Mezzapeso   Poland, OH

Yes...Las Vegas should have another water park. They should not put it in a place that the property would be too valuable later on. We enjoyed Wet 'N Wild several times and were sorry to see it removed. We would certainly utilize a new water park. A. Curtis  Roseville, MN

Why on earth would you put in a water park when Las Vegas is for Adults Not kids. I would spend the money on an Adult attraction. Families can't afford to spend a lot of money especially when every hotel has a fabulous pools...This to me is a waste of money  Lynda L  Toronto  Canada
