With more than 3,000,000 monthly visitors to Las Vegas, it is obvious many travel by airlines and the safety of travelers is a hot topic of discussion Keeping the airlines safe is the topic of this week’s Reader Poll. Which method of security by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) would you prefer, body-scan or pat-down?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you!   Why or Why not?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you!   (see other opinions below)

Reader Poll Replies:

I dont like the idea of a body scan, but i like the idea of a terriorist is a much bigger fear.  Susan M   OK

My preference would be a scan, I really dont want someone touching me all over.  Betty Teller.

My concern is very little since I do not fly every day.  The couple trips I take a year it is ok if they want to scan me as long as they do not keep the images.  Robert Gonzales AZ

I would prefer the scan. This seems to be a necessary evil in these times to combat terrorism. I have never been overseas, so I do not know what their airports are like, but if this all I have to do and it does not take anymore time than the walk through scanners than why not. If people are that paranoid of the scanners maybe they have something to
hide in the first place.  chris koch  ashland, ohio

I like flying by charter now, it is faster, cost more but worth the time saved in airports.  Sandy L

My preference would be xray, it seems less physical than having someone touch me in search of something I dont have on me.  Roger Teller.

Maybe we should all go naked and fly safer, I think that is what it is coming to.  Beverly Saunders  NY

It makes no diference to me, what ever the government wants is what I will have to accept if I want to travel.  Bob Smith  CA
