As we get closer to Football Bowls the nasty rumor that sports betting may come to an end in Vegas has surfaced again. This week’s Reader Poll asks, Do you think Sports Betting should continue in Las Vegas?  Why or Why Not?
Reader Poll Replies:

* I like betting on football, I think it should be left alone.  Darrel T.  AZ.

* Keep on betting it is good for the games.   GJ Smith

I feel that profession teams should be bet on but I do not like betting on college games.  I think the temptation to have problems is much greater in college games and if you eliminate the temptations the game might have different out comes.  R. Hodges NY

What would be the point of Sports Betting, as an organized gaming entertainment, leaving Las Vegas? Some enterprising soul would simply wire it into some high powered server farm and go completely on-line. So, you take a seat in the KENO lounge, buy a few games get a free drink, open up your wireless laptop, and place a few sports bets. The casino would miss
their end. Why would they let that happen? The only reason would be a drop in profits despite the finest in satellite and computer technology in the palatial sports books up and down the strip. KENO is disappearing for the same reason. Cartoon video slots are up. So are nightclubs. Bet on trends and people.  Don in Portland
