In search of different avenues to increase revenues for the state of Nevada, online poker may be the answer. Nevada Assembly Bill 258 is the hottest new topic in Nevada state government. For those who may not know, it is illegal for an US citizen to gamble online with any company based in the US. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question . . .  Do you think online poker should be legal?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you!  (See other readers opinions below.)

Reader Poll Replies:

Internet gambling should be allowed and it should be controlled by existing Nevada or New Jersey casinos only.   William T.  Sarasota FL

This seems like a good deal for all.  The people want to play online, and the taxation will help Nevada.  I see nothing wrong with it.  Thomas S.  Atlantic City, NJ

It all depends on who is in control of the web sites and how honest they are operated.  Any errors or cheating and that will be the end of online gambling for decades.  Andy Sawyer

Actually makes no difference to me, i would rather play in a real casino.  Diana

A long time ago I played online and it seemed so risky in that I was not sure the people at the other end were playing fair or if they had an advantege somehow.  dani hopkins

I have waited what seems like many years to be allowed to legally play poker online, bring it on....  now.  Larry Chicago IL.

I enjoy a real casino and I guess it would be ok to play online, never have played online for money before so not sure how realistic feeling of the game that would give me.  If the sensation of winning is the same, then I would be all for it to be legallized.  Dwayne Fort Myers FL
