* I don't think teenagers and casinos is a good mix at any
time for any reason.
Phil Estes
* No, this does not sound like a good idea to me.
Giving minors another reason to go into casinos is just asking for
trouble. Sarah G. NY

Yes, yes, yes! There are so many families that visit, and live in LV,
with teenagers in the 17-20 age range it would be an excellent idea to
have a non alcohol club for them to gather and express themselves.
As far as being exposed to a "casino nightclub, come on it's Vegas!
Stephen Krulish Latham, New York
* Definitely not--teenagers should
not be permitted to go to a non-alcohol nightclub because this would
entice them to go to the casinos and before you know it they will want
to gamble and drink. Las Vegas is not a good environment for children or
teenagers. Joe San Jose, CA
* I strongly agree to opening a
Las Vegas Nightclub for minors ages 17 - 20. I would even go as young as
16, but no younger. Las Vegas is the Mecca city for night life and
gambling. Although this city was originally an adult oriented city, many
changes have been made to make Las Vegas a family oriented hot spot.
Everything but the gambling. I feel sorry for all the kids that are
dragged to Las Vegas with their parents and can't participate in the
most exciting draws to Las Vegas which are the gambling and the
nightclubs. Having a nightclub for the minors would definitely give them
the full experience of being in Las Vegas and it would give the parents
a chance to ditch the kids for a couple of hours while everyone enjoys
themselves. Slot machines should also be added to the Nightclub that
will give winnings like free drinks or something along those lines, (not
money of course) so that they can truly have the full Las Vegas
experience. Its a great idea. Jacqueline Wilkins
* Do you really think Las
Vegas has the stranglehold on nightclubs. Every major city has
clubs who do not serve alcohol and guess what ? Minors go to them.
What Vegas has the only mini skirted woman in the world. I think its a
good idea given many teens travel with there families and this gives
them a place to go and have some fun. Vegas is a fun place, no doubt.
but its not the only place for fun. what's the big deal?

* No under age nightclub.
they can wait until they are 21 like I did. They can go to four
flags parks and have fun. G.J. Smith
* Where are they to go? We
were all teenagers once, and even worse, we were all underage drinkers.
I remember being so frustrated with nowhere to go on the weekends. We
got tired of movies, and bowling, and restaurants. We wanted to have a
good time! There were those of us with fake ID and those that just had a
knack for sneaking in to places, but it was all too risky. Why not lose
the temptation, and encourage these people (who love to spend money!) to
party. It would be so beneficial to have a safe place to dance, and
socialize, and all legally. There is no question or worry about fake ID,
there are no barriers. Keeping teenagers interested can be a tough thing
to do. Giving them what they want can be a tough thing to do. Keeping it
safe and legal can be even a tougher thing to do. It seems simple to me!
Give them what they want, AND keep it legal! Get input from
locals....Find out how they want it decorated, what kind of food they
want served...do they want a juice bar?...What kind of music? Them
nights? Design it for them, and they will come, and they will be safe,
and have fun. Ben Ross
* Yes I think it would be a very
good idea. I lived in Las Vegas when I was growing up from about
1950 to the mid 1960. I worked nights, I spent my night's off
roaming casino's and clubs on the strip & Fremont street. Times
was different then no one ever checked my age, as I new most of the
people in the casino and clubs in fact by the time I was 21, I quit
Drinking as I had my fill there is nothing in L V for kids, they took
the water park and the park at M G M, the skating rink is $8.00 and it
should be low cost so all can use it. Kids need somewhere to go NICE.
Bob Miller
* I believe that it would be a
great idea for an underage night club in a casino. The amount of kids
that come with their parents on vacation to Las Vegas keeps increasing.
This will help give the kids a better vacation. The parents can then go
to whatever they wish, and the kids can go to the club. Curt &
Nancy
* I think it would be a
great idea. Our teens need a place they can hang out and it sounds like
it would be supervised very well. Maybe if we would have more places for
out teens to gather it would be less time for them to get into trouble.
We had a place teens could get together it and was a great success! Kay
