Any structure in the Las Vegas area taller than 150 feet must get approval from the Federal Aviation Administration. The Raiders filed this past week a request for the FAA to review numerous parts of their proposed 62-acre parcel located on Russell Road west of I-15 Interstate to be the home of the new NFL stadium. This week Readers Poll asks the question do you think the FAA will approve the existing land site for the new NFL stadium? What is your opinion? We want to hear from you. (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

I t would not supprise me if they decline if for some reason and new site must be found Roy S. Phoenix AZ

Not likedly they will find any reason to slow down the development of a nearly 2 billion dollar project. Las Vegas needs all huge projects to be built. Ann Boroughs NM

Sincerely doubt any offical would stand in the way of a $1.9 billion dollar project. I think there will be hearings and go through the motions but in the end without much trouble the stadium will be built as they desire. Gina Buckeye AZ

Not having all the information as to what type of variance the stadium would be seeking, I am in favor of this effort coming to LV and hope that the feds will do everything in their power to make that happen and not encumber the process with drastic changes JoAnn Cathcart North Attleboro

I am sure enough palms will be greased to make this happen. Howard Indianapolis, IN

Depends on if they need a reason to move the stadium this would be a good out for breaking any contracts. Overall the city needs the project and it should go on but no one knows the real story. For example, why they treated Mr. Adelson so badly and he removed himself from the deal is a crazy story and people do weird things when huge amounts of money are at risk. Marcus Las Vegas, NV

Sounds like the majority of visitors to LV will also have to get FAA approval once the marijuana begins retail sales. People are likely to be higher than the 150 ft. regulation. I think the FAA will approve the land site. It will be a great addition and attraction for LV. Have a great day! Craig Hagel Prophetstown,IL
