As we all know in these economic times politicians are looking for creative ways to improve the revenue streams to their city, state and Federal governments. Once again the heated conversation of Nevada and online gambling is raising a lot of attention in Las Vegas. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question . . . do you think Internet gambling should be allowed for United States citizens? Do you think it should be operated by existing US casinos or who?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you!  (see other opinions below)

Reader Poll Replies:

I see no reason why the existing casinos in Las Vegas are not allowed to offer online gambling.  I would like it much better than dealing with companies that i have never heard of and sending them my money.  Will S.  Texas

I love online poker and would think it would be great for las vegas and nevada to allow casinos to offer a fair, regulated online casinos games.  Linda  Sarasota FL

Yes i think there should be online gambling but I think it should be more regulated. I think that if it was run by legal businesses instead of every Tom, Dick and Harry there would be less chance for theft and more control over the sights. There should also be a better way to prevent minors from participating.  Dawn Schlauderaff  Brooklyn Park, MN

sounds good to me, lets play online.  howard R

Why in the world would we not want to let US citizens play online poker using their own money that they paid taxes on. One could argue that it promotes gambling but I have news for you, degenerate gamblers don't need online poker to gamble as they already have plenty of places to play. Why punish citizens that play for a living or just for fun? This is America. If you don't want to gamble online then don't. The choice is yours. Get that...the choice is yours.  Kim Harbison  Cincinnati/Ohio

If it could generate more tax dollars, let them play online.  Ralph H

Big brother should worry about bringing the troops home and not what we do with our spare time and our money.  Debbie Sawyer

Let us gamble online.  Roger H.
