This week the MGM Resorts International debuted the first Electric Vehicle Charging Station on the Las Vegas Strip. This electric charging service is free for their customers. This brings us to this week’s Reader Poll Question. Should electric vehicle charging service station be a free service and available at all major casinos?  What is your opinion?  We want to hear from you! (See other readers opinions below.)

I think this is a great addition to las vegas.  keep up the green work.  Lawrence Teller  Los Angeles, CA

Whether it is free or not, this is the right direction that vegas should be headed.  more cities can take a lession from this civic concept.  Andy  Cleveland OH

Posing the query as you did I would have to say that such a service should NOT be a free service. I know that the costs would be passed down to ALL customers in some way. If I did own one I would not expect others to be paying for my "travels" just as I do not depend on others for this now. I also say, "NO" to your question because not all people who wish to have the money to buy these types of vehicles. Rebecca   ME

My opinion is anything that helps clean up the air is a good deal.  yes, it might cost people money and the casino will pass along the cost, but would you rather have a few less pennies in your pocket and have clean air to breathe.     Lucy Bowers   FL

No,They are not giving gas to everyone. The electric cost money just like gas. The only reason they are doing it is the very low number of vehicles that will use it. If 90% of vehicles were electric they would not offer it free. So why benifit the few and not the larger number.  Steve  Celina ,Ohio

If they really wanted to help people they would adjust the slots and let a few more winners happen.   If they get any tighter the friction will power those electric cars forever. Dawn Portland OR
