This week’s Reader Poll is a wildlife question for Las Vegas visitors and residents alike. As mentioned in the IVLV newsletter this week, the new $10 million visitor center for the Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge opened this past week. Displaying the rarest fish in the world, desert pupfish, the Ash Meadows Refuge also has 26 endemic plant and animal species, thus making the highest concentration of native species in the continental United States. Fourteen of those species are classified as endangered. This week’s Readers Poll question is, would you consider visiting this free admission Refuge located only a few miles from Las Vegas?
