As mentioned in this week Insider Viewpoint of Las Vegas newsletter, the Grand Canyon is celebrating being part of the nationwide parks 100th anniversary with the Grand Canyon celebrating their 100th year in 2019. This week’s Reader Poll asks have you ever visited the Grand Canyon, why or why not and what was your experience if you had visited. (For those wanting to go to the Grand Canyon, our sister web site offers 50% tour tickets for the Grand Canyon day trip.) What is your opinion? We want to hear from you. (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

Las vegas has renamed Riviera Blvd to be now called Elvis Presley blvd, what do you think of this an should there be other famous people who should have streets named after them.

I have lived in Las Vegas for nearly my whole life and never been to the Grand Canyon, it is on my bucketlist for 2017. Ann Davis Las Vegas, NV

About five years ago I bought tickets from you at half price and went on the day long trip. It was perfect. The landscape, the magnificent canyon and all the other sites were fantastic. I am so happy I did the trip then as my health does not allow me to travel now. Susan Smith Chicago IL

I have always wanted to see the grand canyon. Maybe this will give me a good reason on my next visit, thanks. Bob K.

When i go to vegas i dont care about the wether, new buildings, attractions, etc, all i want to do is gamble. Grand canyon would not be for me even though i respect it is one of the natural wonders of the world, just not for me at this time. Richard Evans NYC

For the past five years i have lived in vegas and never thought about going to see the canyon. This is now on my bucket list. I will let you know what i think of it when i return from my planned may trip. Roger Jacoby, Las Vegas NV

I have never been to the Grand Canyon but have always wanted to and plan to go in the next two years. Lisa Rance Las Vegas NV

I have visited twice. First in 2002 with my children, sister and her family and my mother and second in 2014 with my husband. Both were amazing! The first time there were guided tours which I really appreciated. The second time, I felt a little lost. Kathi STeele fishers indiana
