As reported in this week Insider Viewpoint of Las Vegas Newsletter, the Las Vegas Sands Corp. (Sheldon Adelson - owner and one of the richest persons in the world) is leading the way with others to possibly build a $1 billion domed stadium on the corner of Tropicana Ave and Paradise. This week’s Reader Poll asks the question do you think this group has any better chance of building a domed NFL stadium size facility in Las Vegas than the last nine other company attempts by various groups? We want to hear from you. What is your opinion? (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

las vegas is expected to see large amount of money change hands in the sports books this week with the upcoming super bowl game on February 7.

Reader Poll Replies:

Finally someone with enough billions to finance a domed stadium. I hope they pull it off. Sandy E. Arizona

I am not sure if Las Vegas will ever get a NFL team but when one of the richest persons in the world is involved it might happen. Bob Daniels California

I live in northern california and would hate to see the raiders leave, but if they have to go, las vegas is my first choice. Sure hope it doesnt happen but it might with that much money behind the deal makers. Steve Brown San Francisco, CA

no, but as long as its comming out of his pocket and the tax payers i say co for it roll the dice of fate! charles porcello richmond va.

This sounds good but you watch, somehow the rich guys will only put up pennies and expect all the tax payers or the city or the university to but up the lions share of the money. Then the rich guys will fight over whose name goes on the building and expect the population to admire them for giving nothing. Paul L Las Vegas, Nv

It will take one of the wealthiest men in the world to get Las Vegas a NFL team. Hopefully they dont want all of us to help pay for it and they take the glory. Cindy Davis Phoenix AZ
