* My opinion is that any fine should be a lot more, keep
those nasty smoking items to yourself at your own home, I am tired of
having to put up with that dirty habit of others. Glenda V.

* Its a lot of money! But its
the best way to get things done what works more than grabbing into
peoples pocket! Anyway lots of money! U.G. Germany
* The penalty should be as high as
possible, maybe even $1,000 per incident! Smoking is despicable &
disgusting; if you're not allow to do it, you should be fined heavily!
I, for one, do not want to breathe some ones else's ugly habit!

* Seems to be too
small a fine to be a of any consequence. Here in Canada it is between
$1000-$2000 in some areas. We seem to have 100% compliance (some are
still whinning). How can one justify smoking? Who likes second hand
smoke? Hasn't it killed enough innocent people so far? I bet in the
future it will have criminal implivations! Brian Rickard

* $100 for smoking the wrong
place seems fairly reasonable. Stepping it up for habitual (pun
intended) offenders would make sense though. Fat cats probably won't
blink at $100 per incident, but having that fine climb $50 for each
occurrence over 2 might get their attention, over time. Jeff Frank

* A fine is good, jail is
better. Why in the 21st century do we tolerate a person standing
next to you poisoning the atmosphere. This is insane, the product,
deadly cigarettes, should be removed from society, just like the old
type of Freon and any other products deemed a hazard to society.
