Yearly more than 44 million people visit Las Vegas and the road system has just about maxed out the easy flow traffic. The traffic in Las Vegas is nothing compared to Los Angeles, but it is bad by Las Vegas standards. New proposals are to elevate a second road system which leads people in and out of the casino corridor to the airport. This week Reader Poll asks the questions how do you think Las Vegas should fix the traffic problem? What is your opinion? We want to hear from you. (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

Reader Poll Replies:

I think making the freeway wider is a good start, but they need to make the pararrel streets all one way streets. Randy S Portland, OR

Elevating a new system of roads would take a long time and a lot of money. Might be easier to buy land and widen existing streets. Linda Smith, Las Vegas, NV

I feel it is a good idea for any mp[rovement on the roads around the casinos. Each year it seems to be more congrested. David King, ORegon]

Why not a light rail? Michael Read Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

The cost and time versus making some of the streets one way and removing the light change times would be a huge asset. Bill Miller Phoenix, AZ

Eliminating all the cabs and Uber, Lyft and others from the congressted areas would be solved greatly isf you allowed the monorail to run from the airport to the heart of the casino area, thus giving people a direct, faster way to reach their casino of choice. Kimberly Kutz, California
