This week’s Reader Poll has to do with Grand Prizes and the odds of winning. Recently I was asked my opinion of a new million-dollar bingo grand prize being offered at a casino. I would like to know your opinions of grand prizes. When you gamble do you really expect that you might win the lottery or any exorbitant grand prize? Is this just a waste of time and the odds are so astronomical that anyone winning the grand prize in our life times is nearly impossible?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you!

My opinion is that no one ever wins the grand prizes of some of these contests.  Sure there are lottery winners, but never me.  Bailey, TX

I always play those progressive games that have big jackpots.  My thought is that someone has to win someday, why not me.  David D. New York.

i play the lottery and buy a chance on a grand prize if it interests me, and yes i expect to win. anyone who plays and says that they don't expect to win is either lying or maybe they should just send their monies to me, so that i may have a better chance to win!
Howard Indianapolis IN

The odds of winning some incredible prize leave me cold.  Give me a small jackpot and keep them coming is how I like to gamble.   Walker  Florida.

My preference would be to win human size winnings and not worry about the one in a zillion chance for early retirement.   Anna Williams  NYNY

I dont think it matters for me, I have never won anything worth a darn in my life, so worrying about millions is not a possibility for me.  Dan Glanville

We take two trips a year from Europe to Las Vegas and I will admit it is fun to play for some king size prize, but in the back on my mind I realize it will never happen for me.  I spend most of my money looking for four of a kinds and the nearly extinct royal flush.  The Davenports

I guess I have to be a believer in winning the ultament jackpot because my family knows of a neighbor whose brother actually won a lottery.  So I guess miracles do happen and I always think it might happen to me also.  Bob Bartlett
