Boyd Gaming Corp. continues to add to their casino holdings, now totaling 13 properties in southern Nevada. Do you think it is good or bad to have these super conglomerate casinos buying up the smaller casinos in southern Nevada? We want to hear from you. What is your opinion? (See other Readers’ opinions below.)

southern nevada has three casinos sold to the boyd gaming corp, is this good or bad for nevada and the gamblers?

I feel it is a good thing. Now they can combine players points and hopefully build a higher quality casino. Lisa James Chicago IL

Acutally I would prefer to keep some of the smaller independent casino operators. Soon we will only have 3-4 huge casino network of casinos to choose from to gamble. Marcus A. Denver CO

Keep the large casino corporations out of our neighborhoods. Local ownerships (smaller corps) provide many gambling, game and food incentives for seniors. When the big guys take over, we seniors get screwed. For example, MGM wants us to pay for parking! ken arasim henderson, NV

I think it is a bad idea because if the big guy buys out the little guys he eventually becomes KING! carrol Hanover MD

Boyd usually helps by buying troubled or distressed properties and revitalizing them. I think they are in line with this purchase. The Cannery properties are tired and customer service is a little lacking. Boyd will address both quickly. Thanks! Darron Campbell Henderson, Colorado
