Summertime is quickly upon us and that means all the major casino pools will be in full swing. This week’s Reader Poll asks the questions . . . Realizing the casinos are making a fortune every day selling cabanas, bottle service and turning the pool area into daytime nightclubs, do you like the daily pool parties with DJ’s or would you prefer the way pools in casinos were years ago?  What is your opinion? We want to hear from you! (See other readers’ opinions below.)

Reader Poll Replies:

Best time i ever had was in the old days at the pools in vegas.  now it is filled with drunks and loud music.  B. K.  Austin TX

I like the pool parties but i also l like the quiet sometimes.  Linda  Huntington Beach CA

I do like the way pools are now they are alot more fun we get to hang out by the pool have some drinks listen to some great music get a tan and have a great time and save our money for later in the casinos its a win-win situation.  Korina Vierela   Waukesha,WI

This is something that has been bothering me for quite some time. I believe that it is important to be able to relax while on vacation. It has become impossible to do this at any pool in Vegas. Between the loud music and drunken young people, there is no place left to pull up a lounge chair or swim in a pool. In fact about all you might be able to do at
the pools is stand in one spot. Just looking at the photo that you posted for this Reader Poll says it all!   Rose Marie Mezzapeso  Poland, OH

Times change you still have a choice of just to enjoy without spending the extra money. Bottom line is it fine me me how they do it now.  tony kulesza   cobleskill

I like the old pool atmospher better  jane Dallas TX

When you have to escape from the noise and frenzy of Las Vegas, the pool atmosphere is not the way to go anymore. How can one relax poolside with blaring "music" that can be heard 19 floors up in your room? How does anyone actually converse with the person next to them or be heard over the noise? Get rid of the "music" and the DJ's. I do not take
advantage of the pools because they are not relaxing.   Stephen Fegley  Missoula Montana
