The Tribute to Frank, Sammy, Joey and Dean

The Rat Pack is Back!

Ol' Blue Eyes - Gary Anthony

If ever there was a Frank Sinatra reincarnate, Gary Anthony's the one. A Sinatra impersonator since the age of five, "The Tribute to Frank, Sammy, Joey & Dean" star has been one of Vegas' most in demand Sinatra impersonators since moving to the Entertainment Capital of the World in 1994.

A native of Los Angeles, Anthony grew up in a musical family headed by his father, a big band director. Music came naturally to the third of 11 children, and although the performer also sings as himself and does a mean Rodney Dangerfield, a smooth Ronald Reagan and a variety of other celebrity impersonations, even as a child, Anthony knew that "Frank was the man."

At age 15, Anthony was singing Sinatra at venues all over the country. However, three years later, Anthony decided to focus on singing alongside three of his brothers and one of his sisters with his family group, The Allens. The decision paid off. The group was not only one of the first Caucasian families to sign with Motown, but also topped the US musical charts in 1975 with their song "High Tide," written by The Osmonds. After nine years of touring as young teen idols and appearing on such hit shows as "American Bandstand" and "The Johnny Carson Show", the group disbanded when the disco movement hit the nation.

Soon after, Anthony ventured into the world of stand-up comedy, however his musical roots drew him into becoming a recording and sound engineer for such well known bands as Oingo Boingo, The Police and Blondie. After getting married, Anthony decided it was time to "get a real job" and opened an electrical sign business with his father. However, the show-biz bug within him couldn't be tamed, and even in his "real job" Anthony found himself working in the business he loved so much by doing neon for the Golden Globes and other television shows.

Eventually, Anthony and his father moved into video production, producing commercials and cable shows out of a garage. Thanks to the popularity of "Wayne's World," which glorified upstart cable television shows, Anthony's show "The Unzipped World of Gary Blazer" got plenty of attention and he soon found himself the subject of numerous television news programs and a HBO documentary, along with his father's cable show.

Anthony always had to do things "his way," and in 1994 the performer decided to move to Las Vegas. He began booking himself at various venues, doing everything from working as a DJ, to stints as a comic. But as Anthony says himself, "what is Vegas without Frank?," and he soon found himself steadily impersonating Sinatra in various Las Vegas showrooms. His knack for being "perfectly Frank" even caught several producers' eyes, and when Delta Airlines and the NBA launched a new promotional campaign in 2003 where the star of the commercial was Ol' Blue Eyes, Anthony was selected in a nationwide search to replicate the legendary star.
