NCAA Men's Championship - 1939 to Date
The NCAA Men's Basketball Championship is a single elimination tournament held each spring.  Nicknamed, March Madness, this tournament is spanned over three weeks at various sites throughout the US and the Final Four go to the Venue/City listed below to crown a champion.  To be selected into this tournament the conference tournament champions from each Division 1 conference receive an automatic bid and the remaining teams are selected by NCAA selection committee. In the beginning only eight teams participated and the number has grown to 65 teams each year.
